Curriculum
The curriculum at Enlighten Preschool Green Valley promotes an environment of exploration and wonder, supported by play-based learning opportunities encourage social growth. Working closely with the children and their parents, the staff promotes an emergent curriculum that will nurture and develop each child's own identity, the acceptance of others, and competence. Inspired by the Reggio Emilia pedagogical approach, our program's practices aims to create strong, authentic relationships between the child, family, staff, and surrounding environment by the use of careful observation, though-provoking exchanges, and detailed documentation.
At Enlighten Preschool Green Valley, the children have opportunities to interact with a rich variety of materials and thoughtful experiences that will drive the children's experiences in exploring and learning about their world. The environment which plays an essential part of the children's experiences, is carefully designed to offer the children many different way to connect to and interact with it, helping them to build their existing knowledge as well as to create new understandings.
