Philosophy
The program at Enlighten Preschool Green Valley is built on the following beliefs:
All children are learners. Each child will be encouraged to explore, learn and grow through hands-on experiences that will help them build a foundation of learning for their entire life.
Using the Reggio Emilia approach, a core belief is that each child is unique and special.
The children are nurtured on the basic values of respect, responsibility, and community through exploration and discovery through a self-guided-curriculum.
The emergent curriculum emphasizes that children learn through exploration of their interests, supported by developmentally appropriate activities and materials.
The highly qualified, accredited staff aims to establish personal relationships with each child. The teachers will guide the children's learning based on each child's own interests and strengths along with engaging the children in group collaborative efforts.
The children's families are integral to providing a high quality program for the children. The staff works to build strong relationships with the families. Working as a team, the staff and families will strive to create a safe, warm learning environment for each child.
